A Petition was filed in the Arizona Supreme Court proposing an amendment to the video-conferencing provisions of Rule 1.6 of the Arizona Rules of Criminal Procedure. (Rule Petition number R-06-0016.)
The Criminal Rules Video-conference Advisory Committee was established to study issues raised by that petition and by comments to that petition; and to provide its recommendations to the Arizona Judicial Council regarding the use of video appearances in criminal proceedings.
