On October 27, 2011, Judge Patricia Orozco will be recognized by the Arizona Women Lawyers Association for her important contributions to the legal profession and in helping advance the role of women in our legal system. Judge Orozco was appointed to the Court of Appeals in 2004 by Governor Napolitano. Prior to her appointment, Judge Orozco was the Yuma County Attorney. The AWLA event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the downtown Phoenix Wyndham Hotel, located at 50 E. Adams Street, and all lawyers and judges are invited to attend. Admission is free for members of the judiciary and lawyers who passed the Arizona bar exam in 2011; for all others, tickets may be purchased at the door.
