After the retirement of the court’s long-time clerk, Chief Judge Ann A. Scott Timmer appointed Ruth A. Willingham as Clerk of the Court for the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One effective August 7, 2010.
Prior to her appointment, Ms. Willingham served the court in multiple ways, giving her a thorough knowledge of appellate case processing. She was first employed by the court in the clerk’s office commencing November 1989 and eventually served as the Chief Deputy Clerk from September 1995 until January 2010. She then became the judicial assistant for Judge Diane M. Johnsen before accepting her current appointment.
Ms. Willingham has been a member of the Arizona Courts Association, has served on the Judicial Staff Education Committee and remains a member of the National Association of Appellate Court Clerks, serving on several committees.
